Join us for “It’s Not Political Correctness,” a discussion on Implicit Bias and Cultural Competence in Today’s Marketplace

Hamtramck, MI—Bromberg & Associates, LLC, a full-spectrum Language Solutions Company (LSC) based in Hamtramck, Michigan, is pleased to announce the upcoming event, “It’s Not Political Correctness,” a discussion on Implicit Bias and Cultural Competence in Today’s Marketplace to be held on Tuesday, September 25th at the Macomb County Family Resource Center.

This discussion will provide valuable insight into understanding how to interact with people of various cultures and backgrounds in the growing global marketplace. Understanding how to best interact with a myriad of cultures and languages can mean the difference between closing a contract and losing a potential client or the difference between having positive interactions with your existing customers or leaving them dissatisfied.

With the increase of litigation for cases related to cultural competence, inclusion, and implicit bias; while also factoring in the subsequent increase in legal regulations for organizations, being aware and prepared for these issues is more important now than ever before.

Our interactive 2-hour workshop will help you to question and bring to life your implicit biases, consider your way of thinking, and to look at cultural competency in a different way. We will also explore some landmark court decisions which may impact your organization’s liability to be more culturally competent.

Our Speaker: Bruce L. Adelson, ESQ, CEO of Federal Compliance Consulting LLC.

Mr. Adelson is nationally recognized for his expertise in federal law enforcement, civil rights, diversity, cultural awareness, language and disability access, and allegations of discrimination. He teaches implicit bias and cultural awareness at Georgetown University School of Medicine and most recently taught at Cornell University.

Additionally, Mr. Adelson is recognized as the ADA expert in several federal lawsuits alleging disability discrimination.
