On April 23-26 Bromberg attended the annual International Congress on Medical Interpreting organized by International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA). It is the only international congress that focuses on medical interpreting, seeking to facilitate learning as an ongoing, dynamic and social process.
Our new staff member, Cultural Competency Coordinator Sean, told us that he enjoyed the event and looks forward to the next one. “For it being my first official conference as an employee of Bromberg, the IMIA conference was a great way to introduce myself to the world of health care interpreters. Everyone there is so passionate about what they do, and you could see that in the presentations and key-note speakers. It was incredible getting Bromberg’s name out there, and a lot of the attendees were very interested in what we had to say! I can’t wait to get back out there and keep up the momentum!”
